Essence of Nature

Slimy, it sleeks into the unsuspecting soul.
Bubbling with pride oozing like oil, black as coal.

No love for its victims,
both those who house it
those tormented as a result.
Human nature black, evil, foul & festering.
The soul's own cruel jesting.
Many are eaten by its cankerous worm,
the innocent are harmed as it begins to squirm.
Left to bleed and die
gaping wounds of the soul spurned.
Pull back the veil of actions,
and the garment of intentions.
An ugly, horrid face would contort,
as more lives it makes its sport.
Like a haggard, disgusting creature,
by far its worst feature.
Unkindness by nature.
Without Him all failures.
