The Tempest of Life

Tossed on the tempest of life's storm,
battered and inundated by the waves.
The soul begins to feel tattered and torn,
seeking a life boat to save.
Reaching out the hand,
feeling for anyone's grasp.
Groping for dry land,
or a life saver to clasp.
There once was One,
who walked on the water in a storm.
The waves' attention He won,
around Him they were afraid to swarm.
He still stands in the water,
His face towards your storm.
Jesus did the will of the Father,
your salvation He can perform.
Friend, if life's tempest,
has tossed you around.
Please do not detest,
His love that abounds.
