Paper Puppets

Crumbling, crunching, torn apart--
One controlled, strings held unseen,
lacking in reality, cold in heart.
Thin, lacking depth no heart from which to glean,
Words of solace, compassion and care.

You play the part of the heartless fool,
lacking in sympathy, no comfort to spare.
Taking your bow, on this stage called life,
used as his tool--
All is vanity fair.

Transparent paper faces, masks at best,
a facade without reason,
whom are you trying to impress?

Without Love our purpose left remote-
Minus it we are instruments without sound,
just some silly paper puppets,
in the end, soulless clowns.

Smiling, without emotion,
blankly at humanity you stare.
Lack of truth and devotion,
meaningless attempts- you cannot share.

Loosen the strings,
of the puppet master's snare.
You have forgotten- your Creator King.
He'll rescue paper puppets, if escape
you will dare.
