A Prayer for My Family

(this means you)

Lord God, bless the ones who still care,
Father, bless the ones who hug
Jesus, bless those who endure
The stinging comments and heartless shoves
From the homeless in the streets,
To all the places where we are
To the travelers whose journeys
Have led them near and far
Holy Spirit, come be in us, God's children,
Almighty One, keep those who walk in love
Great Provider, fill us with Your holiness,
Let it pour down on us from above
Comfort those who are grieving,
Let them know that You weep, too
Have mercy on us, the unbelieving,
May our paths still lead to You
Holy One, protect those who lift their voices,
Strengthen those who stop the fights
Hold fast to those that by their choices
Have shown Your glorious Light
Jesus, keep in peace the forgivers,
Provision those that always share
Multiply the makers and the givers
And all those whose smiles flare
God bless you, all my family, unique in gifts and forms
Father, keep us strong, keep us driven as we weather out life's storms
