Creation Week One

Heaven before earth Creator made,
Home is birthed from water shade
Let There Be Light, and it is good,
The Evening, the Morning stood
Expanse called out from waters blue
God named it sky on this Day Two
Dry ground called up He named it land,
And gathered the waters called sea by hand
Green things grew in chlorophylled glee,
They boughed their praises on this Day Three
Orbits of light the sun and moon
Set dark to flight and governed gloom
The seasons marked by starry sway,
God saw it good on the Fourth Day
Aquatic life and avion flew,
Great creatures in the water teemed
Loved and Blessed by Maker too,
Through fruitful reproduction themed
Every manner of creature came to be
Each according to its kind
And it was good the Lord did see
To form man from His Heart and Mind
In Maker's Image cast,
Both male and female they stood,
Given to rule all creation vast,
Blessed they were because God could
Surveying the heavens and earth betwixt,
The Lord saw it good on this Day Six
The Creator rested on His Holy Day,
The day His work was done
And as Day Seven wound its way
His marvelous work goes on, on, on, on,
And it is good
