Two-Faced

I feel like the twin-faced Jaenus
Perpetually mocked by half of what I am
A soul starved for Christ likeness
Stitched to the rot of who I've been
One half of me, a diaphanous thing
Floats, fluttering in His wind
The other half, gnarled and dead
Lies mocking in it's sin
"That which I don't wish to do, I do"
This, the sad story of my life
But You shadow me still in Your goodness
A loving Lord amidst my strife
So once more I hand You the reigns
You know much better than I where to go
I'll put my best face forward
Let Your image in me grow
