The Dead Thank the World

Thank you world, for beating me senseless.
Thank you so much for the strangulation of my soul.
For asphyxiating every enlightened and original thought,
and turning my gray matter into ash.
Thanks for holding me down while the devil raped me.
Thanks for convincing me I deserved it,
that I liked it.
Thanks for the vampiric draining of my will,
and for the stripping of my purity.
Thanks for alienating me from my Maker.
And thanks for whispering conspiratorially in my ear,
when anyone would tell me the truth about His Son.
Thanks a lot for that.
Thanks for your whorish companionship
your ills, and your rotten advice.
Thanks for leaving me entombed in your cold, cold embrace.
Alone, and afraid.
Thanks world, I invite you to burn with me.
